Living on a caribbean island and surrounded by a vacation feeling pretty much all year round can make you rather spoilt.

Two weeks of grey skies and a tropical cold front has resulted in a cacophony of grumbles, mumbles, complaints and griping across Grand Cayman (rather interesting to listen to in over 135 different accents!!) . You check to see if you can still find that one sweater that you have somewhere in the cupboard. You even turn the AC off. And mumble, grumble complain and gripe. And then you read about a snow storm that dumped 6 feet of snow in New York and you start feeling .... well .... privileged to say the least.

A break from grey ....... sunshine is back at last ..... windy, but oh so sunny and beautiful!

And then Mom Nature gives you a taste of what you have been missing (see above) and you are absolutely giddy with delight and awed at the beauty once again. The cacophony is now made up of laughter, glad greetings and good will. The island visitors itching to visit Stingray City Sandbar and incredible snorkelling sites are bursting with repressed holiday verve and all is good.

And when no-one is watching, you slyly give the sun a wink and say thank you ..... and go back to being spoilt.
